Terms of Use

The short version. The Telly is an empty player. It comes with no channels and no content. You supply a service you are entitled to use, and you are responsible for what you connect it to. The app is provided as-is, free of charge.
1. What The Telly is
The Telly is a media player application for Android TV and Google TV. It reads standard IPTV formats — Xtream Codes API, M3U playlists and XMLTV guide data — from a server address that you enter.
It ships with no channel list, no playlist, no default provider and no content of any kind. We do not operate, own, host, index, curate, resell or endorse any television service, and we have no affiliation with any IPTV provider.
2. Your responsibilities
By using the app you confirm that:
- You have the right to access whatever service you connect the app to.
- You will comply with your provider's terms and with the law where you live, including copyright law.
- You are solely responsible for the content you access through the app, and for any consequences of doing so.
- You will not use the app to infringe anyone's rights.
We cannot see, and do not control, what you connect the app to. If you use it to access a service you are not entitled to, that is your act and your liability, not ours.
3. Content is your provider's, not ours
Everything you see in the app — channels, films, series, artwork, programme descriptions — comes from the service you configured. We make no representation about its availability, legality, accuracy or quality, and we cannot fix, restore or refund it. If a stream is down, a catalogue is wrong or artwork is missing, that is between you and your provider.
4. Voluntary support
The app is free and has no paid features. The Support screen offers optional tips through Google Play Billing, including a recurring monthly option. These are gratuities: they unlock nothing, grant no entitlement, and carry no promise of any feature, support level or continued availability.
Purchases are processed by Google Play and governed by Google's terms. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. A monthly tip can be cancelled at any time from your Google Play subscriptions.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with your device, or that it will work with any particular provider.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, recordings, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it at any time. We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address, with the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
8. Community
Our Discord server has its own rules, enforced there. Chief among them: sharing playlists, provider credentials, reseller links or any means of accessing content is prohibited, and doing so will get you removed.
